The Stock Exchange of Mauritius Ltd (SEM) is a multi-asset class internationalised Exchange which lists a variety of products. In the years to come, the split of listings on SEM is expected to consist of more international funds, international issuers, specialised debt instruments, Africa-based ventures, mineral companies a broader range of ETFs and structured products. The SEM has a multi-currency capital-raising, listing , trading and settlement platform and is the only Exchange in Africa that can list and trade products in USD, Euro, GBP and ZAR. The SEM also aspires to become a centre of attraction for regional and global capital. SEM is today a full-fledged member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) and has been awarded for the second consecutive year in 2012, the “Most Innovative African Stock Exchange of the Year Award”.
